Digital Moat ("we," "us") is an assumed name of EL2 Strategies, LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect through digitalmoat.ai, our email lists, and our downloadable resources — and what we do with it.
The summary: we collect your email address if you give it to us, basic analytics about how the site is used, and nothing exotic. We don't sell your information.
When you sign up for a checklist, the Digital Moat Briefing, or other resources, we collect the information you enter — typically your email address, and optionally your name. When you contact us, we receive whatever you include in your message.
Like most websites, we also use cookies and similar technologies to collect basic analytics: pages visited, approximate location (city/region level), device and browser type, and how visitors arrive at the site. You can limit cookies through your browser settings; the site will still work.
We use the information we collect to: deliver resources you request and send the email series or newsletter you signed up for; understand which content and topics are useful, so we publish more of what helps; operate, secure, and improve the site; and comply with legal obligations.
We use third-party services to operate Digital Moat, including email and website services (currently MailerLite), analytics, and hosting — these providers process data on our behalf only as needed to provide their services to us. When you click an affiliate link on this site, the destination company and its affiliate network may use cookies to credit Digital Moat for the referral; our Affiliate Disclosure explains these relationships.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect promptly. If you request a resource, we may still send the email needed to deliver it.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you at any time through the Contact page, and we will honor the request unless we're legally required to keep something. Depending on where you live (including California and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have additional rights under local law; we extend the practical core of those rights — access, correction, deletion — to all readers regardless of location.
Digital Moat is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We keep subscriber information for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a reasonable period for legal and operational purposes. Unsubscribed addresses are retained only as needed to honor your opt-out.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date below and, for significant changes affecting subscribers, note it in an email. Continued use of the site after changes means the updated policy applies.
